The voice of the Lord strikes with flashes of lightning. The voice of the Lord shakes the desert; the Lord shakes the desert of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord twists the oaks and strips the forests bare.....(Psalm 29:7-9)

How do you hear the voice of the Lord? What does His powerful voice do to you? Does he speak to you softly in his majestic melodies? Does he twist your insides with conviction? Does his voice strip you bare?

How do you hear the voice of the Lord? Through the message: His Word: The Bible. If you are not digging deep inthe truth everday, the voice of the Lord will become softer and softer. Pretty soon his voice will hardly be recognizable. Then you become confused between what are YOUR thoughts, His thoughts, your head, or God's tug at your heart...satan uses your thoughts and gets you to confuse them with God's voice. Dig deep in the Word everyday so our Lord's voice is crystal clear.

Not only will you hear his voice through reading the Word, but all the thoughts that have decieved you will be brought to the surface, exposed by the truth. And all the movements in your heart that were from Jesus will be pressed deeper and deeper within you giving you confidence in God's strength, and rest in his peace.

Psalm 29:11
"The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace."

If you are apprehensive about reading your bible- it probably means you NEED to read it. Anything within you that tells you that you'd rather eat or clean first....or anything telling you that praying is good enough and journaling is just fine for the day- ITS A LIE! This may sound crazy to you, but the devil is constantly patting you on the back for all the "Godly things" you do. The last thing he wants you to do is read the BIBLE because that is your weapon against him! THE TRUTH! It exposes him and distroys him! It corrects deception! It murders lies!

Since satans only weapon against us is deception...he's going to everything in his power to decieve you into not reading the Truth!

Don't buy into the lie. Honor your heart and resist your mind! If you want to grow closer to the Lord, you need all the deceptive schemes played against you to be exposed so God can cleanse you and be filled with the TRUTH.

Honor your heart= honor God.

Expose the lies, and also ask God to search your heart for any impurity. If you really desire to be intimate with Him: ask Him to search your heart. And be commited to the truth.
